Park Card requests

Who is eligible

  • State Farm Corporate Employees who live within 60 miles of Corporate Headquarters
    • State Farm Corporate Employees badges act as a park card and are required for park entry.
  • The Employee’s Spouse
  • The Employee’s dependents under the age of 24 living in the employee’s household
  • Dependents over 24 living in your immediate household to which you are a legal guardian. Proof of legal guardianship may be requested.
  • All dependent requests may require additional verification.
  • Foreign Exchange students are eligible for park cards that will expire the end of the current year.

To request a card for your Spouse and Dependents:

  1. Log into Workday
  2. In the search field at the top, enter “SF Park Dependent Access Request”
  3. Scroll down to SF Park Dependent Access Request (This is also for Spouse Card Request)
  4. Complete form with all required fields and submit.

Guest policy

All park cardholders are allowed 2 guests admitted into the park at any time.

Park Cardholders:

Park amenities


  • Five all-weather and two clay courts can be reserved for play.
  • Seven Pickle ball courts, the three #2 Pickle ball courts can be reserved (see map).
  • Reservations can be made for a maximum of 90 minutes of play. Courts are held for 15 minutes before the reservation is forfeited.
  • Call or visit the court area to make reservations (See park hours and contact numbers).
  • Tennis balls are rotated and replaced only at the discretion of the court attendant. Players requiring new tennis balls may bring their own.
  • Tennis and Pickle ball rackets are available for rent from the equipment house (see map).

  • The mini golf course is available on a first come first serve basis. Reservations are not accepted.
  • Only the equipment provided by the attendant may be used on the course.
  • Beverages only in paper cups or unbreakable containers may be carried on the course.
  • Holes 1-6 and 16-18 are ADA accessible.
  • There is one disc golf course (disk golf course map). Disc are available to rent from the equipment house (see map).

  • Four shuffleboard courts
  • A basketball court with six goals (height can be adjusted). Hanging from rims is strictly prohibited.
  • Four sand volleyball courts (height can be adjusted)
  • Three all-weather volleyball courts
  • Equipment for volleyball, softball, basketball, shuffleboard can be checked out at the equipment house with a current Park card (see map to equipment house).

  • Two fully stocked lakes.
  • Illinois hook and line regulations apply.
  • An Illinois fishing license is required for anyone who is 16 years and older. A person with a valid Illinois Fishing License must accompany children under 16 years of age.
  • All types of bait may be used except minnows.
  • Fish can be kept, there is a limit of six fish per day, per person.

Equipment for the following activities is available to rent from the equipment house (see map).

To check out equipment a valid Park card must be presented and will be held by attendant until the equipment is returned.

  • Shuffleboard

Picnic Tables, Benches, Charcoal Grills and 29 shelters with electric outlets are located throughout the Park. 24 of these can be used without reservations and are first come first serve.

All Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Parents or Guardians are responsible for supervising their children. Lifeguards are on duty to enforce rules for safety and to respond in case of an emergency.

Wheeled shoes are not allowed in the pool area.

Beverages in paper cups or unbreakable containers are permitted.

Proper swimwear is a requirement for any individuals swimming and helps maintain the chemical composition of pools but also keeps those around you safe.

Clothing prohibited in water includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Street clothes
  • Thong style and/or revealing swim wear
  • Sport bras
  • Leotards, Leggings
  • Dri-fit wear, undergarments, compression clothing

Swim diapers/pants - Infants/toddlers who require swim diapers or pants will have access to the toddler pool area only.

Any toys, equipment, or floatation device brought into the pool must be approved by the Lifeguard Supervisor.

The tot pool slide must be used in a sitting position.

Rules and safety

Safety and Security

State Farm Park provides an enjoyable outdoor environment for activities and amenities. All Park patrons are expected to adhere to Park policies and to act in a manner that is respectful, polite and adheres to all applicable rules and regulations. Employees, spouses and dependents are responsible for ensuring their Park guests are aware of and abide by the policies that govern Park use and activity. State Farm Park card holders are responsible for the behaviors of their guests and must be with guests at all times.

Individuals who violate Park policies or who are under investigation for violating a Park policy are subject to a temporary or permanent Park restriction. State Farm Loss Prevention/Enterprise Security reserves the right to restrict Park access to both members and non-members at any time.

  • All patrons must stop at the Gatehouse to be properly checked in.
  • Employees, Retiree’s, Agents/Team Members, spouses and dependents, must provide valid Park card and ID for admittance to the park;
    • Employees require a valid badge.
    • Retirees, Agents/Team members, Spouses, dependents and guests age 16 and over must also provide an original physical valid government or school photo ID (issued by the school).
  • Persons on the Do Not Admit List are restricted from entering the Park.
  • Children under the age of 14 must have a caregiver of at least 14 years of age with them while they are visiting the Park.
  • All patrons must comply with requests made to them by contract security, Administrative Services staff and Lifeguard staff.
  • No tobacco, smoking or vaping is allowed on property.
  • No alcohol or illegal substances allowed.
    • If a minor or adult appears under the influence, authorities and/or guardians may be called for assistance.
    • Any person under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or exhibiting erratic behaviors will not be permitted in State Farm Park.
  • No pets allowed.
  • No balloons allowed except for shelters.
  • No flying drones.
  • No weapons allowed.
  • Activities that suggest violence/danger and occur while on State Farm property are strictly prohibited.
    • These activities include but are not limited to: Intimidation, making threats, making jokes or offensive comments regarding violent acts, bullying, exhibiting threatening behavior, engaging in a violent act, committing a crime, possessing a firearm or other weapons.
  • Lockers are available to patrons for securing items of value. State Farm is not responsible for missing or stolen items. Note: Locks are available for check-out through beach house security.
  • Ice is NO longer available for purchase at the Shelter.
  • Guest and park policies are subject to change.

Swim diapers/pants - Infants/toddlers who require swim diapers or pants will have access to the toddler pool area only.

Those wearing inappropriate attire will be asked to change or leave.

The clothing/material not allowed in the pool(s) is because it affects the chemical balance of the water and water clarity which can affect a Lifeguards ability to see clearly into the water impacting safety.

Closings

The contamination response plan has been revised by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to address incidents where contamination is identified in the water and to address water clarity. Certain contaminates may result in a 30 minute closure of the pool. Water clarity and other contaminates may result in a pool closure for approximately 12-16 hours. An announcement will be made to all on-site pool patrons communicating the length of the closure. Additional communications will be available at the State Farm Park Hotline at 309-766-1699309-766-1699.

Delays

Inclement Weather - Severe thunderstorms, tornado watch/warning, and lightning may result in the pool/park closing or evacuation to an emergency shelter. Public announcements will be made to notify pool patrons of inclement weather.

Shelter reservations

  • Employees that reside within 60 miles of the Corporate Campus and retirees with an active park card can reserve one of the five large shelters.
  • Employees and retirees are allowed one shelter request per Park shelter season. Seasons outlined below:
    • Winter/Spring (Jan-April)
    • Summer (May-September)
    • Fall (October-December)
  • Requests must be submitted two weeks in advance of the planned visit.
  • Employees can make reservations through Event Management Systems (EMS).
    • Please note: Reservations can be made through EMS, but are not booked until a confirmation email from Administrative Services is received.
  • Retiree’s will need to complete a
  • A maximum of 25 non State Farm guests are allowed with the reservation.
    • Instructions on how to send your guest list will be included in your Shelter confirmation.
    • Anyone 16 and over must provide a valid, physical government or school photo ID (issued by the school) before being admitted to the Park.

FAQs


Employees - Proximity badge to access the Park

Employee Dependent(s) – Park card is good until the end of year in which the dependent(s) turns 24.

All others (employee spouse, retiree, agents) – Park card is good only for the current calendar year it was requested. The Park card will need to be renewed/requested each year.

Corporate employee’s and retirees whose primary residence is within 60 miles of the corporate campus can bring a maximum of 25 guests. The shelter reservation process must be followed in order to bring in the guests.
